Spring Concert

The Mid-South Symphonic Band is excited to announce its Spring Concert.  The concert will be on May 21st, 2017 at 3 pm at Ringgold High School Performing Arts Center, 28 Tiger Trail, Ringgold, GA.  The concert is family friendly and open to the public, free of charge.

Celebrating its 26th season, the Mid-South Symphonic Band is comprised of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area who perform under the direction of Jim Souders.  This all volunteer organization includes musicians from diverse backgrounds who enjoy sharing their talents with each other and with the community.

Holiday Concert

The Mid-South Symphonic Band will host a Christmas concert on December 11th, 2016 at 3 pm at Ringgold High School Performing Arts Center, 29 Tiger Trail, Ringgold, GA.  The concert is free to the public.

Get in the Christmas spirit as the band performs holiday favorites past and present.   The band will perform classic favorites such as The Holly and the Ivy and It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.  The concert will also feature some fun music from the How the Grinch Stole Christmas and a salsa arrangement of Good King Wenceslas.


Founded in 1990, the Mid-South Symphonic Band is comprised of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area and performs under the direction of Jim Souders.  This all volunteer organization is comprised of musicians from diverse backgrounds who enjoy sharing their talents with each other and with the community.

The Mid-South Symphonic Band will celebrate its 25th anniversary season with a concert.  The concert will be on May 15th, 2016 at 3 pm at the Ringgold High School Performing Arts Center, 28 Tiger Trail, Ringgold, GA.  The concert is family friendly and open to the public, free of charge.

The concert will feature "Five by Dr. Kenyon Wilson.  This piece honors the Sailor and four Marines killed in the July 2015 shooting in Chattanooga.

Fall Concert

The Mid-South Symphonic Band will present its Fall Pops Concert on November 1st, 2015 at 3 pm at Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.  The concert is free to the public.

The program will take a musical selections ranging from Broadway to the silver screen and even some Jazz and Swing favorites.

Mother's Day Concert

Are you looking for a fun event for to attend with your mother on Mother’s Day?  The Mid-South Symphonic Band will host their Mothers Day Concert on May 10th at Ringgold HS Performing Arts Center.  Reminisce with your mother about your family adventures while you enjoy selections that will take you on travels to the Mississippi Bayou, sounds of the circus, as well as from the Jersey Boys and Mary Poppins.  The concert is free to the public.

The Mid-South Symphonic Band will present their Fall Pops Concert on October 26th at 3 pm at Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.  The concert is free to the public.

The program will take a musical pops journey around the world as they play music from Broadway to Michigan, Liverpool to Chattanooga.  The selections include "Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Block M March", "Broadway Center Stage", and "Tennessee Salute".

Founded in 1990, the Mid-South Symphonic Band is composed of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area and is directed by Jim Souders.  The musicians come from a diverse background of professions.
